- On April 13, 1906, Choe In-hyeok led an uprising at Museong Academy, Jeolla-do Province, and occupied Taein and Jeongup. He was captured and imprisoned for three years in Tsushima. There he was incarcerated with I Chik, Nam Kyeong-cheon, and nine others captured at the Battle of Hongju Fort.
